Electric Superbike Twente
We are a racing team consisting of 30 students from the University of Twente and Saxion university of applied science, by developing fully electric racing motorcycles Electric Superbike Twente wants to show electric vehicles are not only sustainable, but can also be very exciting.
Last year the first electric superbike of the team was build. This bike has 110kW of power which results in an acceleration of 3,6 seconds from 0-100kph. This was enough for the bike to be the best in the MotoE competition last year, which means we are the reigning European Champions of electric motor racing!
The technology in our racing bike can be found in your daily life. By building electric motorcycles we want to help sustainable mobility to gain more popularity and increase the speed of the transition to a sustainable world.
This year we are convinced we can built an even faster bike than last season. We will test our performance in a brand new competition called “the open eSBK competition” (https://openesbk.com/). We will show we still are the team with the best electric motorcycles.
You can help us reach our goal! Our battery cells are the core of our superbike. The 660 cells are pushing us over the finish line. Help us finance the cells by making a donation to the team. You will sponsor one or more cells and if your cell has delivered the best performance after the race, you will get a prize!
