We are HyDriven, formerly known as Green Team Twente. A multidisciplinary team of ambitious students from the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. We have participated in the Shell Eco Marathon since 2011. And with success; we came first several times and took the world title! But after 10 years, we wanted more. We switched to our new challenge, Formula Student racing. Here we no longer drive as efficiently as possible but drive with as much power as possible. Last year we succeeded with this goal and became the first student team to complete Formula student on Hydrogen! However, our motivation and goals do not stop there. This year we strive to further our innovation and make our car more competitive!
Our team is working hard together this year to design and implement major changes that will push our car into an entirely different level. From designing a new custom-made gear box to integrating a higher capacity hydrogen tank. With our efforts this coming year we plan on doubling our top speed and showing the power of hydrogen! Doing so will hopefully persuade other Formula Student teams to switch to hydrogen and setup a hydrogen class within the competition.
