Kipaji Scholarship Fund
" The years of war have destroyed the infrastructure of my home country, Afghanistan. Date back fifteen years ago, there were hardly any public transportation systems. However, we have put quite a noticeable effort into its improvement, but still, public transport is not accessible everywhere and for everyone and the quality is poor in cities. The reason is lack of expertise and attention to the importance of good public transport and we have a long way ahead of us. My dream is to put my efforts into improving the current condition of public transport while ensuring equity in relation to spatial and gender differences. Thanks to the Kipaji Scholarship Fund, I was able to start 2018 my master's degree in Transport Engineering and Management at the University of Twente. The experience and knowledge that I am gaining in Twente are invaluable for me and for my country. Improving transportation systems means improving the national economy, safety and the environment! I should say many thanks from my deep bottom of my heart to the employees, alumni and relations of the University of Twente giving me this opportunity. Please contribute to the program and give the opportunity to other students too. Taschakor!"
